i would like to know how running a .82 a/r turbo on a b20
is it to laggy ???
what results ???
wheel hoop ???
what compression ???
is it recomendable for street usage??
im considering this set up gor my engine and i wana know who has gotten good results

That's a very vague question. I think we need to know more about the turbo in question as well as your goals in order to give you any sort of usable information.

ok is a garrett 60-1 journal bearing turbo im looking between 380-420 hp range im considering the .82 a/r because i want to reduce wheel hoop but i dont want to suffer to much lag

The 60-1 in a .82ar is a little large for your setup and power goals. You would do just fine with a .63ar and the proper setup to compliment it...hell, even a 57 trim would make that kind of power.

Correct, even with the "R" series turbochargers, larger volutes can have different results generally in the same direction. It looks like he has the wrong turbocharger to begin with for his application. The turbine housing change is only 1/4 of the whole picture when picking out a turbo.

what could be the reason why people go up to 1.xx ar when they could have just go to the next bigger turbo,
say gt30 1.xx ar or gt35 .63AR. powerwise, and spoolup time.

I believe I replied to your PM about this, but typically it is a bit easier on the turbine wheel to go up to the next size as opposed to what a lot of DSM guys do, and push their turbocharger several times past their efficiency points. GT30Rs in 1.06 A/R are very rare, and are really not necessary, especially in a street driven setup. The response would be terrible.

are you guys blind? the guy says he wants to switch turbo's because he suffers from WHEEL HOP. to the OP: forget the upgraded turbo. Buy the following. Solid motor mounts, front traction bar with torque mount, and then get and alignment. problem solved, your car will handle better, and you wont be laggy mcLaggerson
