Clutch pedal keeps getting stiffer
My brother has an 06 EX. When it was newer, the clutch pedal was like water, like most Civic's would be. He's almost to 110k now and the pedal is much stiffer and the release point feels much lower... As in barely lift your foot and it engages immediately. I don't ever remember the clutch grabbing that low but according to him it always has. But anyways, it's just gotten stiffer and stiffer over the past year or so. I have never felt a stiff clutch pedal like that in a bone stock Civic.
I have an aftermarket clutch/lightened flywheel in my 99 ex and mine is like water compared to his car. Even a few months ago before my release fork broke, I had 219k on my stock clutch and it never got like that.
Thoughts? I tried searching and all I kept finding was the damn clicking / ticking noise you can hear / feel lol. Which he does have and it is quite annoying.

Re: Clutch pedal keeps getting stiffer
Never on a honda, but other vehicle's. The ball the throwout bearing rides on. If not greased can cause where. Little where on that pivot point makes a clutch pedal stiff.

I bought a 06 si that had a stiff clutch the clutch itself worked great, you can get a little adjustment under the dash to raise the grabbing point if you wish.
I tried new master and slave greased and lubed everything including getting inside the housing with some spray lube on the pivot ball, nothing worked.
I bit the bullet and changed the clutch and pressure plate in the end that was the only way it got better.
I bought my oem clutch for the 2.0 on e bay got it for $135.
