dyno results for stock 4cyl 01 accord lx
i spent many hours online trying to see if anyone knew how much horsepower to the wheels my stock 4cyl 2001 accord lx f23a1 had. many answers said it would only loose 15% by the time it reached the wheels which is 135whp.
TURNS OUT THAT WAS INCORRECT, when i dyno tested my car which is supposed have 150hp according to honda website, it only had a max of 114whp on a jet dyno.
in a few weeks i will go to see how many horses extra ill get out of injen intake cai, dcsport headers and ws2 exhaust. some people said 3whp, some said 7 whp some said 20whp well see how wrong or right people are about these bolt on mods

I wil be really interested to see your results on that dyno,..
My engine stock is supposed to be ~139 (crank) horses...
I have the WS2, DC 4-2-1 and an AEM SRI, so I think your dyno results will definitely be something interesting for me..
Even more interesting if you can do a dyno pre-tuning and after tuning (if you plan to tune)..
Just remember, perform a regular tune up on your car before you take another baseline dyno.. Oil change, trans fluid change, new plugs and clean OEM air filter.. Get a "true" baseline value and then do the bolt ons and dyno again..

Looks like my guess at the stock number was actually close in your previous thread.
Interested to see what exactly you see with the bolt-ons (and don't forget to include weather conditions from the dyno day!).
It's usually never "worth it" given what a lot of people end up paying for full bolt-ons (buy name brand everything when it's not necessary). If you have connections at an exhaust shop and can find deals on the parts you can give your car a nice sound and add a little pep for a total price that is at least acceptable.

I always knew that these F22 and F23 VTEC puts out 115-122whp. OP, yours with basic bolt-ons will yield close to 120-125whp because thats all I see from all the dynos for F22/F23 VTEC. If you want more, you can go Bisi Level 2 VTEC cam for your F23A1. Mine was guessestimated 140 at the wheel with a Bisi Level 2 VTEC cam in my F22B1 I had.

I have not seen a single user gain that on those modifications without anything additional.
*edit*
And do more than one run on the dyno.

Re: dyno results for stock 4cyl 01 accord lx
15% of 150 is 22.5 hp. 127.5 hp at best.
so 114 is 24% drivetrain loss....through an automatic transmission. that sounds about right.
that 15% number is for 5 speeds...
for example my 92 accord with an h22a, oem header, crush bent exhaust, and generic cold air intake made 175 whp on the dyno and 160 ft/lbs...through a 5 speed. with 15% drivetrain loss i am looking at 205 crank horsepower which sounds about right for my mods...

Re: dyno results for stock 4cyl 01 accord lx
there it is just to add some info that might have helped get the result i did, i m not sure if it makes a difference or not, but i use amsoil which is the best oil in the market, and ngk iridium spark plugs and wires, and i cleaned the injen air filter before i went. it was clean when i went the first time because it was still new.
the guy who recommended the bolt on mods told me i would get 20 and so did many shops. so im not too surprised.
at the end of the chart u see a spike yeah the guy accidentally stepped on the gas
