What do I need for a timing belt change?
So I'm going to have a mechanic change the timing belt on our 1996 Honda Accord Ex 4 cylinder. I told him I wanted OEM parts so I'd bring them from the dealer instead of him using aftermarket parts that are crap. Anyway, so does anyone have a list of what exactly I need to get at the dealer? Also are there any seals to replace while in there? I have a few oil leaks and he thought I might want to replace some seals while doing the job. Thanks.

timing belt, balance shaft belt, cam seal, crank seal, front balance shaft seal, oil pump gasket, water pump and gasket, valve cover gasket set, dipstick tube o-ring
if your accessory belts are old, change those since they have to come off to do the timing belt. you may end up needing new timing and balance belt tensioner pullies, but they would need to be checked when the job is started.

So I'm looking there and there are a crap load of timing belt seals and what not. Do I need any of those?
Anyone know which part numbers I need? I'm not sure if I need all those bolts, seals, etc. I need to get it ordered tomorrow though.

Re: What do I need for a timing belt change?
you would only need the strip seals that attach to the timing covers if yours are deteriorated or missing when the timing cover is removed. You could go ahead and buy them, but they aren't all that cheap and you probably won't need them. the cam seal is #28 in your picture. the crank, front balance shaft seal, and rear balance shaft/oil pump o-ring gasket are shown on the oil pump diagram. Go to hondapartsnow.com for actual part numbers. That site is great. You can order it all there and get better prices than the dealer, but you'll pay a little for shipping. It's worth it on large orders.

You won't need to purchase the holding tool unless you decide to do this yourself.

I got a homemade Honda crank pulley tool that I bought off ebay. It helps but its not as good as the OEM Honda tool.
OP, I'd do Water Pump, T-Belt, Balancer Belt, Front Crank Seal, Balancer Front Seal tool(recall from Honda years ago) to keep the balancer seal from coming out and dump oil everywhere.
