Yeah man I totally agree. In one aspect I love having parts that Ive made with my own 2 hands, and that no one else has. In another like you said the quality can be so much better if the time is taken to do it right.
For example my Bride type FO rails were total garbage. The side mounts had such haggard edges and score lines from the bending process.

My buddy club rails on the other hand are great. The only thing that sucks about them are the dinky seat brackets, thats why I decided to tackle this project.

Another quick project I did today on this lazy sunday
I decided I didnt like the gloss finish on my carbon inserts so I wetsanded them and cleared them with some flat clear spray to give them that dry carbon look. The Memoryfab bucket will also be getting this treatment when the new brackets are ready!

wow that bracket came out nasssty!!
One thing I didn't like with the buddy club rails is they tend to move on there own. Sometimes when i went to step on the brake/gas the seat would just fly back, def a safety problem. Ive heard many complaints about this too from numerous people.

Flat finish FTW!! I was so much happier with the outcome when I used that finish on my crx dash compared to the gloss in the 4 door. Cars looking dope as usual
