This build is perfect. You went from a grocery getting weekend project car and once the sickness set in a full on grocery getting cover car. I love the car and everything that you are doing with it. It looks like the most fun I ever had.

Thanks E!
I know man so stoked! Need this bish done!
x2
I was debating this for a while before I bought it. I read good and bad things about them, but nothing that was specifically linked to the pulley. My original one got destroyed and I got the brand new ctr pulley with belt for less than any used gsr pulley's came across so I went with it. Preciate you lookin out man
I'd love an ATI a little ways down the road
Thanks man
I feel the same man, and I'm not sure either. Thanks for the input though Mike
Thanks for the reassurance man
Thanks for lookin out Dan
Lol you dirty
Thanks man, I still gotta have it flanged up.
Thanks a lot man, very much appreciated. A feature would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath lol. If it happens it happens. I can't wait to drive it the first time
Thanks man, updates coming soon!
Lol thanks man. I hope all goes well this being my first time doing most of this stuff lol. And I know I'm lucky the gf puts up with it and shares her car with me. It's been a LONG year though lol
Thanks man will do!
Ok maybe just one
Just a few scrolls away
Lol ok ok here you go..
To keep this build related I picked up some new axle seals from Honda so I could get the refreshed half shaft installed
The half shaft came out great!
Got the hardware nice and cleaned up and ready to go on
And installed
Also spent a little time workin on the harness
Here's the supplies
Looking a little better
Let the extending begin!
Got a nice package today from nsxter, thanks again man!
I wonder what it could be?
Possibly new cams?
JDM CTR cams
2 dimples ftw! Just need a little cleanin and they will be good to go
Wasn't happy with the original cam choice and felt like the GSRs were going to limit the engines potential. The CTR cams should do just fine
Also got the front bumper cleaned up and ready to go on
And here's a quick close up of the new bay hardware and the freshly coated brackets
Got a couple things comin so check back for more updates soon!

are you gonna run that ctr crank pulley? i was advised by my tuner they are no good for your engine, my buddy was tuning his car the same day i had mine tuned and he said to get it off as soon as possible and replace it with the the oem one, something about no dampner in it or something. not the first time i heard negative of it.
I'd love an ATI a little ways down the road
Thanks man
MAYBE with a high milage motor I believe it could be an issue, and I know Jeff knows his stuff, but plenty of people run aftermarket pulleys on their cars with no issues. For some reason the CTR pulley gets a bad name. If it was so bad why does the CTR have it you know? My car will be getting aluminum pulleys this spring and i have no qualms about it. Oh and I believe evan ran the CTR pulley on his GSR motor. Just food for thought, not sure if there is a right or wrong answer to this.
Yeah, I think its one of those hear say things that has spiraled out of control over the last 10 years or so. There could be something behind it but Ive never actually heard of something happening because of using one.
The idea is that it is not phased with the crank and will cause vibrations that will damage the oil pump. I had read somewhere that a guy was concerned about it so he just went and got the pulley balanced. The amount it was off was so miniscule it wasnt even worth getting it done, but who knows how identical all those pulleys are.
I ran one on my GSR for 40k miles, and I never had an issue. The motor had 143k on it when I sold the hatch and still ran strong

I love this build. It's everything I'd want to see in a proper Honda build. I truly admire someone who doesn't paint their engine with Alumabrite. I'm so sick of seeing that stuff.
Keep up the awesome build.

Lol thanks man
Thanks for subscribing Updated frequently
Thanks man, keep at it
Thanks mang
Made some progress on the engine harness last night
Got it all separated and started de-pinning all the plugs for looming
Here's some shots of them all loomed up
Mocked it up on the engine to see how it fits, real nice
That's all for now guys. Hope to have the motor in the car in the next 2 weeks. We'll see if that happens or not

Looks good man, for the looming you should have left the plugs off. What I do is start at the ends like you did, then do the next section and so on sliding the loom from the plug end until you get to the main junction, then slide the main sleeve on from the other end.
