Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Worked on the brake lines a bit tonight
Masked off the fittings and sanded them up before they got a coat of primer
All sprayed up with a coat of semi-gloss black and hung to dry
Probly gonna spray em up with another coat tomorrow
Also got the booster all resprayed as well
Primed:
Painted:
(sorry for the sh**ty pics)
And finally got the rear lines pretty close to where I want them. Just need a little bit more straightening

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Brake booster looks good.
Black brake lines were a great idea Should look much better than the originals.
Can you possibly PM me where you purchased the heat shrink tubing/sizes?

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
loving the build more everytime I read this. I would want to do all of the things you are doing to your car on my car but I just don't have enough patience. Only if my motor blew then would I think about doing all this, or if my motor needs a rebuild haha. Looking great man! two thumbs up!

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Haha thanks man
Thanks man. This weekend was a nice get away from all the car/work stuff
Haha I'm probly one of those people who used to post stuff like that in your old eg thread. That tread was the ****! You got any pics of that last buildup you did on it hid away you might wanna send my way?
Thanks man. I didn't know what to do when my motor went. It wasn't that good of timing and it was a stressful month, but then I got motivated and started sellin all my old more expensive parts like the regas and the recaros to fund this build that I am on now. And I can't be happier with how its going. This new promotion at work is gonna make it that much better. Thanks for looking. can't wait to get it done
Thanks for the words man
I can't wait to see em all installed! The rears are still kinda wavey but i dont know if i can get them any better haha
Haha thanks man. In due time
Thanks man. Just peeped your thread and you got pm
So I've been on vacation for the last couple days. Went over the mountains to try and get away from some rain.
Didn't have any time to update you guys before I left. so I got a pretty big one for ya
Got the new to me B18C1 all disassembled and ready for the machine shop.
Block was already super clean and I'm assuming had real low miles.
There was no lip on any cylinder so they will just be getting a light hone for the new pistons.
Taking the block and the crank to the machine shop tomorrow for a hot tank deck surface and polish.
Got some oem PR3 pistons from a local buddy for a good deal and OEM Honda rings are on the way
Here's a pic of the old gsr piston (9:5:1 est. compression w/ B16 head)
And here's the new PR3 piston (11:5:1 est. compression w/ B16 head)
Notice the difference in crown size between the two
Also got a little work done on the car. Mostly painting and undercoating but it's somethin
Masked off the firewall to undercoat the lower center portion
Finished undercoating the wheel wells and cleaned the brake lines up real good before re-installing them
Also gave the front lower center portion you see through the bumper a nice coat of semi gloss black so it doesn't stand out and is unsightly
Masked the backside off and laid some semi gloss on it as well
And lastly lightly sanded the tow hooks and laid a coat of semigloss on them
Before:
After:
Installed:
Still waiting on some stuff in the mail. Will be updating you guys shortly

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Just rolling through your build and found this post. Out of curiousity, did you pick these off a guy w/ a blue del sol? If so I sold him one of those!

This car is going to scoot. All while looking fresh as all hell. I envy your persistence. You took a blown motor in stride as if it were a dented header.
