I've seen some dc2 in some magazine that claim to be under 1900... That's 350 lbs less than mine... that's about the engine weight so I don't know how they make it happen!...

A buddy of mine own an 1900lbs integra, the car has gutted dash CF doors, CF trunk/hood and lexan windows in addition to your setup. So that would be an extra 200 lbs? Can't remember if this was with a full tank or not. Anyhow I've seen the value on the scales so no story telling here. However due to aero modifactions the car should be heavier now lol.

That's quite light for a dc2 chassis! But the cross weight is "$%!y! lol!

Mine is still plate for the road...so I can drive it to the track witch is 15mins from my place...!

2515 ...she's a heavy pig for being a CX with me(280-300) and about 5-6gal of fuel

I have done almost nothing for weight savings and only added weight. it has a cf hood and knock off spoon mirrors. big ole turbo kit has been added, auto power roll bar, full interior, added things like lower radio control, addisional chassis bracing, rear discs, so I fattened her up quite a bit.

when I was n/a years ago I weighed 2180 with me and 1/2 tank....that was gutted, race seats, all kinds of **** off and I was 100lbs lighter

94 civic Vx w/ turbo gsr, rear disc, type r brakes up front, sway bars front and rear, full interior,100 lbs of stereo equipment, full 10 gal tank of fuel, and me (235lbs.)= 2600 lbs. Only thing removed was sound deadening.

PURE Tuning

Our EK Time Attack hatch weighs in at 1840 dry and 2051-2060 with driver coming off of the track with ~1.5 gallons for fuel on board. There is still quite a bit more weight to be saved by redesigning components.

incredible devotion to making the very most of an EK chassis. certainly will be respected/admired for quite some time. please don't ever give up on redeveloping this car multiple more times into the future.

My eg si was 2150 in H2 trim - b16a, gutted doors/interior, full cage, cf hood. Now that i've converted it to hill climb/TA it's a bit heavier because of the turbo parts but only by 25-50 pounds.

FYI My street/race EG '94 Civic Coupe was recently weighed in at exactly 2200lbs or 1000kg (low fuel)

Lots of gutting, probably better to tell you what I kept.

One stock seat, stock dash, stock carpet and kept the rear seat back to keep the trunk separate for street use, everything else non-structural was disposed of.

Of course, took out all the sound deadening, and either drilled holes or cut out chunks of sheet metal on non-structural parts (i.e. hood, rear deck lid, front bumper beam (kept for street crash protection)). The rear bumper was deleted, it weighed 13.2 lbs!

I took all the sound deadening which was like 25lbs
but I do street it and drive it to and from the track so i sprayed lizard skin insulation on the floor then rubberized it. that added 7lbs back in.
custom header and exhaust stainless thru the resonator then aluminium back. the alum sect weighs about 8 lbs.
