How to replace valve seals?
I've got a b18a1 for my civic that I partially disassembled and now am reassembling, so I bought a top end gasket kit, including head gasket, exhaust, intake etc.
The kit also came with valve seals and I was wondering how easy it is to install them. I don't have any specialty tools nor the experience to remove the valves/springs etc. I was wondering if the valve seals can be replaced without getting in too deep.
Thanks guys.

As an alternative for those that don't have shop air or a leakdown tester, you can rotate the crank so that the piston is all the way down and fill the cylinder with nylon rope. When it's full, then turn the crank slowly to compress the rope and keep the valves up. It works, harms nothing, and is a recommended method if you don't have shop air.

^^^ that's correct. Use it all the time.

And use one of these it makes things so simple. http://www.tooltopia.com/lisle-36050.aspx you will thank yourself. That with either air or nylon rope will make it a snap.
