Yea, I am aware of a way to convert the 3 stage wiring for obd1 use. That ecu is hard to find, and you'll def over pay. Look into all your options.

Try using an electronic sclesning spray, say from radio shack, with a light brush. De-pinning that will take time. I could go it. It's a pain in the ass tho. Try that first.
