Many people feel ASE's dont matter. They are usually the ones who cant pass the tests. Truth is that ASE's do matter to most employers and there is a biiiiggg pay difference between ASE certified and non certified techs. Aslo makes a diffrence in court....

My name is chase,
out of ventura ca

I'm 23 with about 5 years in technician training for working on automatic products such as vending machines and arcade games. Looking to get into something I actually want to do. I have been tinkering with my honda for 8 years now. No ASE, but can display willingness to learn. Well seasoned in the electrical field, removing chips, capacitors, vice versa, and soldering skills, etc. Can send a resume if interested, looking for part time at first and then maybe full time in the future.

Afidarkside@gmail.com is my email, I'll respond with a resume.

I am interested in getting into the high performance/race/tuning fields. I have been interested and working on cars for 7 years now. I am a die hard automotive enthusiast and spend 25 hours of the day around cars.

My current job: Diagnostic Technician for TechZone Air Bag Service doing mobile diagnostics around the Connecticut area with all dealer scan tools.

Education: Pennsylvania College of Technology
B.S. Technology Management
A.S. Automotive Technology

I love cars, I love working on cars, I love making cars go fast, I love going fast, and I love making money.

Anyone can read a book and take a test....can you do what the book teaches in the job field? I know so many worthless master techs by paper. Not saying that I don't support ASE's. But certs don't make a good tech.

Sorry I know this is kind of a worthless post, but I see so many new techs that get there ase's while in school and then think they know are a wiz and end up costing me a lot of money.

I could care less what ASE's mean in terms of skill. My point is ASE's mean more in terms of money. That is what employers are looking for to help thin out the herd.

Hi everybody! Thinking about coming to US for summer. It would be cool to take some practice in any job and to practice my English as well. Just wondering if anybody would like to hire an international student for two month) I've some practice in building cars (now realizing my EG b20vtec project and Chevy Impala 1971 restoration). Please PM me if you are interested)

Hi, I'm mike and I'd like to put myself out there as well. Currently I chip and program honda ecus, and prepare stage 1-5 ecu for nistune. I work well under pressure and deadlines. I'm looking for any shops that need any ecu work provided. So far I provide ecus to 2 shops, and I'm looking to expand. All components/ecus are tested in a swapped vehicle, and all come with warranty. I'd love to contract for you! Please don't hesitate to contact me. 432-210-6769/dignitystyle28@yahoo.com/ facebook : mike endless hellstrom
