Re: 2000 EX really bad compression

Well even though the car did sit for awhile, it was regularly started and occasionally driven somewhere and back just for the purpose of it not sitting there untouched. The most it would sit...

2000 EX really bad compression

Been a long time since I've posted on this forum but this car was parked for a few years and I just started regularly driving it again last summer, anyways to the point. The car is bone stock as I...

Re: Can little flaw be fixed?

Thanks to both of you. Really appreciate the input, I'll probably end up doing what the second post said. I plan on painting the side skirts silver as well eventually, so since this isn't too bad or...

Icon2 Can little flaw be fixed?

Hey guys, I recently backed into another car in my own driveway :ugh:. It was hardly even a rolling hit, I had just let off of the brake in reverse when I heard and felt it hit. The damage obviously...

Re: Anyone have 6th gen gauge faces scanned in Photoshop or Corel?

Anyone know the part numbers or section for the gauge clusters? Like so you can order just the needles/faces/lights/bezel/etc. by itself?

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Adjusted the valves on my 00 ex d16y8. They had never been done and the car has 135k miles on it, so they were way too loose.

Re: Clicking/popping uunder drivers side slow right turns! 99 SiR HELP!!

I would check the ball joints thoroughly and go from there first.

Re: Automatic to CVT conversion

Wonder if the mounts require any drilling into the frame or anything.

Automatic to CVT conversion

Kind of an idea I though of/curiosity, does anyone know how hard it would be to put a D15B with a CVT into a car that is already automatic? Does anyone know if this has been done before? Not that i'm...

Re: 93 Civic ex coupe overheating

I would replace the thermostat. From what your describing it sounds like that may be your problem. On my 00 ex the fan has never turned on for more than 30 seconds, so that part is normal for the 90s...

Re: y8 swap wont start HELP!

First thing I would do is thoroughly check all the distributor wiring. Even though the distributor is off the y7 that was running 3 weeks ago, are you sure nothing happened to it?

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

Ohh. As you can tell this is my first swap :) But ok, so even the 98+ JDM ITRs weren't obd2b? If that's the case, then ok since my car is a 00 and it's obd2b I just realized the guy a post or two...

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

I've seen on numerous sites that people say that the stock civic fuel pump is not enough for the integra, and that it really shows in the higher rpms.

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

I saw that diagram somewhere. But yeah, I'm probably going to attempt to do it myself. About the fuel pump situation, I know it's necessary to swap out the fuel pump or else high rpms will not go so...

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

I thought this adapter would solve the Dizzy plug issue. http://www.rywire.com/catalog/obd2-8pin-to-obd2-10pin-distributor-adapter-p-43.html

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

Oh. So a jdm B18C Type R wouldn't have any problems whatsoever using a stock 96-00 ex harness then? Except for the obvious of possibly having to extend a few wires, and possibly having to convert to...

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

That's a smart idea. Yeah since here in IN emissions aren't strict at all, I'll just not even worry about CKF, Evap, and the vtec pressure switch, and make things simple and run the jdm ecu that...

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

Ok thank you for the help. And I assume you used a usdm ecu because of emissions?

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

It says on your build thread you converted yours from OBD2A to OBD2B, but it also says you used a USDM ecu, meaning that you had to use the evap, ckf, and vtec pressure switch didnt you? And since...

Re: JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

Yeah, definitely going with the B18C-R, better priced, and better power. So it sounds like all I need to worry about is the IAB? And here in Indiana, emissions are not at all a problem, our cars...

JDM B16B R or B18C R in 00 EX Question

Hey my buddy and I both have 2000 ex 5 speeds, he and I came to the conclusion that we might as well go for a B18C Type R or B16B Type R swap but not sure what year motor, instead of the regular JDM...

I have to agree with grumblemarc, your keywords are what matters the most when searching this forum, or any search engine for that matter.

Re: JDM ZC Sohc non vtec into 00 EX Auto

This is the one I was looking at as a cheap replacement, as I love this car and won't be selling it for a long time. http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search.cgi?what=page&item=30023
