Re: 1989 Civic Si SEAT RESTORE project

Nice job on the seats, and also nice find on a clean 89, very nice.

Since you seem to know a bit about seats, I was wondering if you know whether the si seats in the 90-91 are side specific? I...

Re: 89' CRX HF mint, but I believe I need some welding done

Post in the fabrication section, you might be able to get a fellow HT member to weld that for you.

Cheap fix if you have a welder and know how to use it. ;)

Re: Reviving faded bumpers and paint

Try the Detailing section, you might get more responses there.

Although I think they will probably tell you the same thing, get it painted.

Since the clear coat is gone, if you dont want to do...

Re: Car rolls forward when I let clutch out in Neutral

Just get some quotes on how much to get the tranny rebuilt. Then compare that to how much it would be for another used tranny (with the risk that it could have the same or different problem too).

Re: 88-91 tail lights

I think either one will work. It's just whichever ones you like best.

Personally I think they look like poo, but thats why I don't have them.

You traded koseis for blades?

Aw well, I like the si hubs better than the blades. Rock em!

Re: My '89 DX Hatch' Build

My vote is for the ls mesh.

Personally I think black rota slips make most cars look dirty. I don't mind the polished, gunmetal, or white depending on the car.

Rota's nowadays are like body kits...

Re: dohc zc question.

x2 on getting the correct ecu. I didn't have the dohc zc ecu and i never got the full potential out of the motor. It was still quick though, just not AS quick.

Re: My '89 DX Hatch' Build

Not a bad deal at all if you can get them for $400. I looked on ebay earlier and one seller has them for $899 brand new. I think he was the only one selling new ones.

Sorry I can't personally help you out, but I thought I'd give you a bump.

Unfortunately the dohc zc is an underappreciated engine due to the lack of aftermarket parts, so not many people have...

Re: working on my $200 honda civic

I don't think it really matches the interior very well, the lines are just all wrong. I like the oem shifter/ebrake console better.

Re: My '89 DX Hatch' Build

Looks much better than before. A nice masking job definitely makes it worth the time and effort. Those wheels look good on the car too. What year and model integra are those from?
