Stuff paper towels down the tube holes to soak up as much oil as possible, pull the plugs, clean them off, pull the valve cover, replace the plug tube gaskets, install everything in reverse, start...

Check voltage at the terminals while the car is running. If it is receiving a minimum of 14 volts, the battery can't hold a charge and needs to be replaced.

16:1 AFR's at cruising are pretty normal. Even factory car's are mapped this way.

Check voltage at the battery terminals, with it off then while the car is running. Sounds like a bad alt and a dead battery because of it.

Check for leaking sparkplug seals on the valve cover. Sometimes enough oil leaks in there and causes the plugs to miss.

Maybe you have a bad ground, bad wire or connection on the VSS. I'm not sure as I can't look the car over. Check out the o2 though and check out the wiring for the VSS.

Sounds ridiculous but;

Your VSS, o2 sensor and alternator all run on the same circuit. If you grounded something out, the car will go into limp mode and drive like shit. Double check everything,...
