I assume it would be free given that its a "system update" for the vehicle. Similar to a recall style deal where they have to fix/update/repair it for free.

From what I can gather its similar to the "technology package" that was in the 05-06's and can be updated yearly via dealership. Similar in the way the GPS systems are updated.

Transmission filter is on Automatic Trans when you have to drop the pan. No worries there.

I personally vote to replace water pump. no point in doing timing belt and then 10kmiles later have to...

try replacing the relay if its not engaging.. thats waaay cheaper then trying to get another ecu, harness etc. main relays are common issue.

when/if you lift it up make sure all your exhaust brackets are there and have the rubber mounts attached. a missing mount will cause the exhaust to "sag"

PCV box? if you mean the Valve then it would have to be closed to not properly be venting crank case fumes. but even still should not be having "white smoke" and if it is coming from within the crank...

Idle adjust is on the IAC, that adjustment screw doesn't do anything.. you can take it out and idle wont change.
