Del Sol Rear Quarters
Whats up guys, I did some searching with no real result. I recently decided to start building up my old Del Sol. Before my Del Sol I always had EG Hatches. On both I had to replace the rear quarters, and I think I paid 80 a piece for them. I cant find any aftermarket quarters for a Del. I work at a Honda dealership, and my cost would be over 700 for new ones. I cant be the only person that needs them. Do you guys know where to get some cheaper ones? Or even weld in panels for the lower parts of the quarters? I dont think I can stomach 700 for quarters before all other body work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

I said in my post that I work at a dealer, and it was gonna be around 700 from them. I'm trying not to spend 700 something for these things.

I read that. Seems that you don't have many options. Not a lot of places selling body panels, especially not Del Sol rears. Don't know how far you're willing to go to save a buck. Maybe venture to a junkyard or find a less expensive shell.

Unfortunately I feel like your right. The problem is where I live, rust and rot are a natural thing. So finding a clean body will be very hard.

http://www.car-part.com/ use their search enter year model and "rear body panel" your zip code and call around to the places listed most are junk yards you can search by nearest to your zip and try and find one with a "A" grade that will be a 1/4 with no rust. prob cost a little more but you can negotiate a price as well over the phone then go from there.

Re: Del Sol Rear Quarters
Im in the same boat man, my del sol needs both rear quarters. I live in VA, and all the Sols in the junkyards here have the same rust on the rear that mine has. The cheapest ive found em is $250 apiece, and im not even sure if thats new or used (im looking for new) Im gonna find out today. I cant believe i can get quarters for my hatch for 65 apiece, and its almost quadruple for these. Anyone ever tried using fiberglass with any luck? my car is rusted down to the sideskirt on one side, so i think im pretty fukt....

Re: Del Sol Rear Quarters
either suck it up and pay 800 bucks for brand new dealer quarters or visit a junkyard.
or cut and weld peices in.
considering theres a billion hatches out there and maybe 25k del sols everywhere its not surprising it costs you more.
