Re: Choosing a racing seat?

If you're looking for a low buck, fiberglass shell, winged seat. OMP I have found makes the cheapest one on the market with the OMP RS-P.T. 2 Racing Seat. It's under $700 but I have not physically...

Re: Pedal box type set up?

It's not really a pedal box if it doesn't include the pedals. That's more or less a booster delete and dual master/balance bar setup.

http://www.dmrr.net/civic.htm is some of the stuff where...

Re: Cheating, really this bad???

The saying always goes, "There are two types of racers... cheaters and losers."

There's a silly ammount of cheating in LeMons, a lot is very hard to police. Gets worse with all the production...

Re: Crapcan spinning non loaded/inside wheel excessively

Depends on how well your pads and rotors will cope with the extra heat but you can do some left foot braking as a poor man's LSD. Back when I rallied my VW GTI that had an open diff I would use left...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

That looks more like slag they pick up after driving around? Or is that literally what they look like when they take them off the car and the drivers aren't rolling around in the marbles to pick up...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

:notsureiftrolling: because I just see your Tom Cruise avatar and imagine you laughing while typing your response.

iRacing is a lot better than F1 20XX games. The only thing that the F1 games...

Re: MFactory vs ITR OEM LSD

You talking about the helical Mfactory diff? Or you talking about their clutch type diff?

Why are you only looking at Mfactory or OEM and not something like Quaife, Wavetrack and if you're...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

I'd be interested. I'd have to wait and find it on a Steam Sale most likely as this would be the only time I would play it. I'm more of an iRacing guy with F1 cars.

Re: H brace vs tie bar?

It's april 2nd, you can stop trolling us now. You're literally just spouting out car parts with some sort of hope that it will make your car handle like an F1 car.

You've made it obvious you have...

This has been covered to death and you should do a search but....

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

I'd chalk it up to an elaborate troll by an F1 fan.

It was like this girl I used to be friends with. She announced to everyone she got knocked up on, of all days, April 1st. The whole time I was...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

Really though, the tires are just a common variable between the teams. As much as it's "artificial" even if the tires lasted every lap and the guys were driving at their limits, they are still...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

Is there a big difference between the back marker cars and the front runners? I just thought they would all be the same physics/engine models?

I didn't play much unfortunately. I just remember...

Re: The tale of Two All-Out Hondas

Just wondering, why did you go for tack/spot welds instead of a longer "stitch" like this:
532692

It doesn't seem like a weld that small you could get proper heat/penetration to make it a good...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

I dunno, there's so many wrongs in this. But if Webber couldn't hold off Vettle without team orders, is there something where they said they'd give Mark a championship as a B-day present and Seb...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

That is a pretty good description of the race. Vettel swoops in and takes the win away from Mark. But more so how the kid accepts defeat and walks away, just how Mark let Seb stay out front when he...

Re: The Official Formula 1 2013 Season Thread

Honestly, just thinking about this time to time for the past few days...

You've got a few things.

1. Vettel pitted earlier, he can't really blame the team for it. They discuss with him on the...

Re: Is there a spring rate chart for factory springs?

Is that viable? Getting a wheel on full compression would be the equal twist of one at full droop with the other at full compression which would never happen. Also, you don't have the length of the...

Re: Roll cage side impact pictures and NASCAR door bar design vs. X bar.

Plenty of the FIA homoligated cages are all built to the bare minimums for force applied to the cages.

I've seen pictures of plenty of FIA spec cages that the bars straight up crack in half...

Re: Roll cage side impact pictures and NASCAR door bar design vs. X bar.

Full of fail with an extra scoop of fail on top. There is so much where people praise the guy's design for saving both their lives. The cage was designed to protect the driver and had absolutely no...

Re: 20CiviC02Si's "TK (Time Killer)" Project

Yeah, I wouldn't put it in but I want to build this car to be LeMons/Chump legal and throwing in a Diff isn't really in the spirt of the rules. Although how much do used ITR LSDs go for anyway?

Re: 20CiviC02Si's "TK (Time Killer)" Project

You wouldn't happen to have the OEM GS-R open diff laying around would you? I need one to build up a budget trans and have a GS-R final drive but no GS-R diff.

Re: anyone with an aftermarket brake/clutch pedal assembly, need help with mounting i

I would suggest going with remote reservoirs anyway. You can then mount the reservoirs on the passenger side dash (check the Riley Daytona Prototypes in Grand-Am they pretty much all do this) so you...
