Yeah, which is what I continuously ran into reading about 50+ threads of cars (80% with the D16Y8) having the same issues but then it just stopped... So, hopefully this will actually help someone...

It's not resolved yet at this point. It's down to the hardware like valves or possibly a head gasket.

I put the car up for sale locally. If it doesn't sell within 2 weeks, I'm going to completely rebuild the motor with some aftermarket goodies, boost it and drive it til it dies.

He could only run the voltmeter while the car was stationary, so we couldn't do it under load which is when it acts up while it's cold. I can rev it all day long cold and not notice anything, it's...

My scanner doesn't do live stream. However, the voltmeter showed correct voltage (according to the tech)

Actually, it's just cylinder 3, but once a single misfire is "recognized" then all four "misfire". The entire ignition system has been replaced... ALL OF IT.

The coolant temp sensor is working fine. The problem is happening when the ECU is in open loop because it's cold, so it has nothing to do with the O2 sensors or many other sensors as they don't play...

New set of injectors did not fix it either.

I'm going to try 2 things and if they don't fix it, it's going up for sale.
