Ok... So the problem finally has been fixed! I replaced the distributor YET AGAIN yesterday and I dropped it off to have the timing done by a Honda tech (I got sick of my possible errors). When we picked it up, it still was still misfiring. The guy said the time is right and it runs fine from idle to 3k RPM. When I got home, I tweaked the distributor a hair and just kept messing with it. I NO LONGER HAVE A MISFIRE and now I have FULL POWER from about 2100 RPM to redline, even when it's cold, but under 2100 it's pretty much nutless (but it's a SOHC, so it may just be that way). Either way, we're going to mess with the timing some more, but that ended up being the issue. I now have LOTS of parts and basically everything under the hood is new, except the short block. HAHAHA

I just read through your whole thread. I couldn't be happier to see you finally fixed your issue! With 3928 new parts! The thing that counts is you didn't give up(even if you wanted to)
That attempted thread jack was pretty funny. And thanks for posting your solution rather than just forgetting this thread and making all in the future wonder away.

Yeah, which is what I continuously ran into reading about 50+ threads of cars (80% with the D16Y8) having the same issues but then it just stopped... So, hopefully this will actually help someone else down the road.

Have you been using a timing gun to check your ignition timing?

Personally, no. It was always done by a tech and I would assume with a timing gun.
