The EX cluster has a dial, but its a clicking dial that sets the brightness digitally. It's not an actual "dimmer" like the DX clusters.

Yeah there is, but it resets every time you start the car and goes back to full brightness. With my DX cluster it used to work normal like:

Lights off = Cluster lights off
Lights on = Cluster...

Do all the EX clusters do this? I have an 04 EX cluster in my car and I noticed it stays on bright as well, even when my lights are turned off. It doesn't really bother me cept when its night time...

Check to see if the antenna connection is firmly connected in the back of the head unit. It shouldn't be "stuck" in there but it shouldn't slip out easily.

Update: The radio issue ended up being a 10a fuse under the hood. There really should be a notice on these write ups to disconnect the battery before attempting this for us dumb asses who didn't...

I had to re-pin it. I tried doing the plug-n-play but it did nothing, and now the entire cluster is working perfectly except the left turn signal and the radio.

I just got an 05 VP last week and this was one of the FIRST things I was planning on doing to it. I got a cluster from an 04 EX (auto) (thanks to Tomsecks here on HT) and MOST everything is working....
