Re: help with noise from driver's side quarter panel - higher speed makes louder nois

I 1st thought I had shredded a tire, but it quieted down on the straight and was handling fine. Once I hit the next right-hander it was obvious I was in trouble. I had to stay on the gas because I...

Re: help with noise from driver's side quarter panel - higher speed makes louder nois

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. Does it get worse when turning right?

I had a bad one go very bad while the camera was running at a race April 30th. It lets loose at 2:40 in this video...

Re: 93 del sol power steering leak question.

The manual rack for 6th Gen has a lower gear ratio than a power rack. 19:1 vs 17:1 IIRC. It makes turning the wheel easier but also is slower because it takes more turns of the wheel to get from lock...

Re: 88-91 Prelude Brake master cylinder for disk conversion..?

No idea on the Prelude M/C. The Teg 1" went right into my EJ no problem. Consider getting the DX or Si portioning valve for proper f/r bias too.

Re: P1 Spec Splitter Finally Installed

I set mine to 3" after it was installed as part of corner balancing.
I was running 600 in/lb springs in front and never had any issues on-track. I've since upped to 650 in/lb. in front.
I plan on...

Re: 95 dx going from no tach to tach cluster

Those little incandescent bulbs generate enough heat to just cause discoloring of the printed circuit. You can get LED replacements for them in all colors. Nice thing about them is they should...

Re: car problems after nasty curb damage

The VSS is on the back side of the tranny over the final drive. Hard to imagine anything got up that high to rip wires but you never know. It most likely came unplugged from the "impact". Mine popped...

Try this link... http://www.specialprojectsms.com/

I've been running this setup on my '96 EJ since '09. It's great. Easy to install the brackets and installing/changing the blade takes 5 minutes....

Re: 93 del sol got new brakes and bled fluid but still spongy.

Glad you figured it out. I fight with spongy brakes a lot with my '96 EJ. This winter I upgraded to a 1" Integra M/C and it's made a huge difference. Plus, it's a bolt on mod with no bending of the...

Re: Question for the Steering Rack Rebuilding DIY'ers

If you're referring to the 0"-4 1/2" bearing separator, that's a generic tool and can be had for $25 at Harbor Freight.

Re: Do bad wheel bearings always make noise?

Make sure all the splines on the axle and hub are clean and shiny and that there isn't any gunk on the backside of the hub/bearing.
I always tighten them to 140 ft/lbs and then crack it loose and...
