As I said, I've been losing oil since day one, but don't see it on the garage floor or smoke out the exhaust...

so it must be going somewhere...
and then I find oil...

on parts geek and other places it is twice that for no name studs.

I pretty much never find OEM stuff to be cheaper

Yes I tried that and it said 10 percent complete and wouldn't fully load...

Ok,
compression test showed 130 to 150 in all cylinders

which...might explain why it is running so well...

I did notice the plugs, which are not that old, were all chalky white on insulator...

Yes, there is no way to tell what has happened with the engine. The car has about 200k on it. The head, I believe, is the original head, but has been off so you would think it was possibly milled...

off to google and youtube to see about setting timing at distributor...

Also, Advance Auto does not seem to sell head bolts. At least I couldn't find...

I guess I wouldn't bother with a spare dizzy then, right? Slap the new coil into the dizzy and keep driving...

probably bring a new cap and rotor too just...

Already begun ordered poly shifter bushings and all the other assorted upgrades you do to a stock civic with 160k miles

my point was not the power obviously....so much as the fact that it was very obvious when the transition occurred with my fa2

well I have been doing a lot of reading online with regards to this issue I have, and came across a tutorial on resetting the ecu and how it is a specific procedure that every shmoe may not be...

So I'm going to come right out and say I fucked up and bought a ek coupe without looking at the engine code on the block.
Bought from a respected mechanic shop in the area a 99 ex coupe with 160k...
