Re: Recall 2011 CRV is their bad "fix" gonna cause problems

I keep forgetting to call Honda to schedule a look at my '11 CRV, but I've got a feeling it will need the recall repair done.
I'll report back with any useful information.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Looks awesome man. Nice work.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

I've always been able to spray it with lube and pull it off by hand.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Unless you bought it out of state, I'm surprised you found one in such great condition that wasn't molested.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Nice looking car. Would love to have one. Rarely ever see them anymore, most have been crushed up here in Maine.

Re: DS axle

That's a bummer.

I had my raxles for much longer than that and didn't have any problems at all. Still were good when I sold the car.

Although I purchased them many years ago, maybe their...

Re: Motor Swap Advice.

There isn't a plug-and-play B series that is automatic. It not a project for someone new to the platform. And honesty not worth the time, money and effort. Trust me, teaching your girlfriend to drive...

Re: 07+ 3rd generation CRv suck? Or bad resale value?

The 3rd gen CRV is a great vehicle. The motors have about 20hp over the 2nd gen and don't have the exploding AC compressor issues. I think the 2nd gen looks better though. The 3rd gen has had early...

Re: 92-95 civic upper ball joint replacement?

If it's that important to you, why not buy OE upper control arms?

Re: Water Pump fail. Honda Civic 2000

Use a better water pump kit
torque bolts to spec, don't over tighten!!!

If you MUST use gasket maker sealant, allow it to cure completely before filling the block with coolant.

Re: 93 Del Sol Oil Pump Problems?

There might be something going on with the oil pick up. Just a guess, hard to tell.
Consider dropping the pan and checking it out. The pan should not contact the oil pick up.

Re: Intermitten misfire and coolant loss

Personally I would do a leak down test first especially since there is a misfire in one cylinder.

Re: Can't tell if my starter is going bad or not?

If what you say is true, I would suspect a fault in the charging system or the battery.

The starter works when the battery is charged...how could they conclude that the starter is bad? lol

Re: Intermitten misfire and coolant loss

Try coolant dye. You might just be missing it.

Also, a leak down test would expose a cracked head or leaky head gasket. Cylinders that have coolant leaks usually have shiny piston tops and clean...

Re: 2008 R18 Engine Block Crack Possible Fix?

I wouldn't worry too much. Failure rates of the R18 aren't that high.

Sell the car if it worries you greatly.

Trying to swap an R18 from an '10 + Civic might be easier.

Re: 2019 Accord 10AT Transmission Failure at 1300 miles

Sorry to hear you're having such issues early on. I think I would also have your mindset if it happened to me. An extended warranty in your case is NOT too much to ask for, especially if 12 months is...

Re: Power Steering Pump/bracket issue

The banjo fitting is barbed where it fits into the hose, and just has the fancy crip around it. You MAY be able to get away with using a good hose clamp, but I would do it properly.
