I should mention that the 225/45R17's are about an inch taller than stock and the rub just a little on the front inside edge at full steering lock. I haven't tried yet, but i think a 5mm wheel...

I had the same problem with my '92 LX caused by a bad oil pressure sending unit. It's a $10 part and easy to change on the back of the block.

The oil pressure sensor on the back of the block tends to go bad. This is a $10 dealer part and is easy to change. I think a new oil pressure sender will fix your problem. I had the same problem...
