Re: Lightweight wheels on daily driver waste of money?

You can get lightweight wheels used for cheap if you look around, and aren't worried about having the trendiest / most fanboi styles. I picked up a set of genuine Rays 'RB Champs' for $400, and they...

Re: Winter or all season tires

I assume you must live in a relatively cold climate, or else you wouldn't be asking the question. I live near Toronto, Canada, and I'm a firm believer in winter tires and have always used them. The...

Re: Who Makes GOOD disk brakes.

Unless you're doing some really aggressive tracking, you won't notice any performance difference going to a drilled or slotted rotor. Cheap drilled rotors have a tendency to crack, and slotted are...

Re: Rear disc brake on ek

Meoshe is correct, probably thousands of people before you have done a rear disc swap while keeping the stock prop valve. The change in braking friction between the rear drums and rear disc is...

Re: Do Volk TE37's fit on a 1994 Accord EX?

This is probably a stupid question, but this website isn't selling real Volk's are they? I mean, $600 for 4x100 15" TE37's? I couldn't sniff a set of these locally for under $1000, and that's used...

Re: garcia tune te37, any wheel gurus seen these?

I hear ya, can't really restore them at a loss. I guess the only other thing you could do is post them for sale how they are with all the details you know and see if someone will buy them knowing...

Re: Beating a Dead Horse, AKA Real vs Reps/Fake TE37 Wheels

Couldn't one also prove authenticity by weighing the rims? Tell the skeptical buyers to bring their own bathroom scale and throw the rims on, since they have no tires. No reps/fakes will be as...

Re: garcia tune te37, any wheel gurus seen these?

To each their own, but I would say the high polish is what makes these wheels unique. I'd personally refinish them that way. If they're powdercoated black then I don't really see the point in the...

Re: Help with Ideal Daily Driver (no track) Suspension Setup

How low do you plan on going? I have OTS rate Ground Controls with Koni red struts in an EK, sitting about one finger of gap, 22mm front sway bar, and under hard cornering I rub in the front. I'm...

Re: Anyone have issues with Russell lines?

This. Just because it's different than how the stock line was run doesn't make it any less right. If you rout it the way redlinetuning has said you shouldn't have any tight bends or kinks. It'll...

Re: Blackworks Racing (bwrusa.com)

How is that honestly any different than any other company though? If you look at the kind of parts they make, it's not exactly rocket science, and nobody is going to re-invent lug nuts or LCA's. ...

Rays Lug Nuts

Anyone have any experience buying Rays lug nuts from eBay seller Japex Trading Inc? They say guaranteed authentic, but I have a set of fake ones sitting at home already and I don't really want to...

Re: "All-Weather" Tires?

LSD isn't going to help you stop any better in the snow or handle any better, only maybe gain traction when accelerating.

I think I said it above already, but I ended up with Yokohama IceGuard...

Re: Yonaka Coilovers review CB7 Accord

This seems to be a common theme in these "review of ______ non approved name brand part" threads. OPer says they work alright for his intended application so far, then the HT know it alls, who have...

Re: "All-Weather" Tires?

And FWIW I ended up going with a set of Yokohama IceGuard IG51V's, I got a pretty solid deal on them ($510 after mail-in rebate for a set in 225/65R17). They've got a new tread pattern for this year...

Re: "All-Weather" Tires?

You can drive slower and give more room to try to compensate, but the fact is that stopping distances in snow/ice/sub-zero temps are MUCH better with dedicated winter tires. I believe the stopping...

Re: "All-Weather" Tires?

That's what I'm wondering. I can see there being some advancements in technology, but there isn't going to be some magical formula that stays soft in the cold but not too soft in the heat.

They...

"All-Weather" Tires?

Maybe I'm behind on this technology, as apparently it's been out for a few years now, but I'm just hearing about "all-weather" tires now. I'm not talking about all-seasons, this is a whole separate...

Re: How do I remove a badly stripped rear lower control arm bolt?

If the shop tried to heat the bolt up with a torch and it still wouldn't come out of the welded on nut on the subframe (I'm assuming this is what you're talking about) then you may have to cut that...

Re: WARNING: Blox LCAs

I can't comment on the PIC's, but from what I've heard the Megans are actually just rebadged Hardrace's. My local shop, that is very trustworthy and knowledgeable, recommended some Megan camber and...

Re: KYB-GR2s with GC coilovers? Please help!

I actually have this exact setup, GC's with KYB GR2's. I didn't go with it based on a lot of research or anything, actually quite the opposite - I bought them second hand from some guy locally and I...

No experience, I just know they are relatively inexpensive and locally available. But I'll look into those two options as well. If they have kits that are semi-comparative in price then I'd be open...

Re: Sway Bar Sizing

Thanks for the input. I was mainly worried that it would make the car unbalanced. I have S2 Pro SII's that are 8k/8k, so the setup would be pretty similar.

I think I'm just going to stick with...
