They're a tiny bit bigger. We measured it with a caliper and everything. But they still have to get press-fitted and I don't know anyone with a press here at college. I thought I'd be able to swap them out easily using the set screw.

But yeah, I don't recommend buying Blox LCAs at all. You're better off buying something more expensive because you won't have to replace the bushings in under 3 months.

Hardrace bushings are a bit oversize. You might have luck with them.

Binghamton has an SAE Mini Baja team, have you checked with them? I almost guarantee that they have a press. Someone in the engineering department should!

I've already bought KYB bushings and had them turned down so they're exactly the same as the old ones. I'm in SUNY Alfred so Binghamton doesn't really help me haha.

Gotcha. Saw your location and took a wild guess. SAE alum so I recognize the names a lot!

To play devils advocate I had Function7, Megans (on my hatch), and PIC Performance LCA's on my cars and they all held up fine. The Megans and PIC's are identical to Blox and I never had a bushing sag like that.

Haha oh okay, well SUNY Alfred is a school of technology, that's how I had a access to an engine lathe to turn down the diameter on the bushings. But I really don't think we have a press here.

And I really didn't do anything to cause them to fail, they're just honestly cheap bushings. I highly doubt they're like any other. It's weird the rubber bushing has a "sphere" shape while the KYB have a more "barrel" or tubular shape to the rubber. So I think this is the reason why they suck.

I can't comment on the PIC's, but from what I've heard the Megans are actually just rebadged Hardrace's. My local shop, that is very trustworthy and knowledgeable, recommended some Megan camber and toe arms because they literally are Hardrace, but less money.

They also sold me on Blackworks RLCA's, which I haven't put on yet so I can't really comment on their durability yet. But this shop sells in high volume, they have a lot of legit cars they build themselves, and they have no allegiance to any particular manufacturer, so the advice they give is based on actual results and customer feedback.

I had PIC lcas not too long ago. I have to disagree with you about them being identical to blox. I had absolutely no issues with the bushings, considering that I daily drive the NYC metro area. The only issue I had with the PICs was that the bushing on one lca actually popped out , entirely. I was able to press it back in, then sold them. Currently running Function 7s , no issues here except stains and blemishes on the polished finish. City driving is awful on cars.

Do they have any proof to back up those claims? If they want to say that THEY consider the quality to be the same that would be one thing. Hard to believe but at least a statement based on their experience. Usually rebranding works in the exact opposite direction. A company takes an inexpensive product and markets it as a more expensive product to increase their profit. What reason would Hardrace have for letting Megan sell the exact same product for far less? They wouldn't. The reason hardrace has a good reputation is because they put money and time into R&D on their products whereas Megan does not.

Or.... they get the BWR, Megan, (insert other cheap shitty brand here) for dirt cheap so they have a much higher profit margin from recommending those parts to customers than they would with recommending hardrace, function 7, etc.

Like I said, never had any issues with any of them and they all look just like the BLOX stuff. Price range is the same, etc. etc... I almost bet they come from the same manufacturer.
