$1780 is a way cheap price to get a motor put together with machine work if you DID indeed have machine work done.

All those nice parts stuffed in a used block wouldnt be such a good idea...

Just get a wheel for stainless on your bench grinder and it works wonders for polishing.

I just use the side of my chop saw to bevel the edge. Works good for me.

Best way to check a trailing arm bushing is to kick the rear tires on the back side of the tire and watch it wiggle when you kick it.

99% of civics that come into my shop are in need of trailing...

Well if he were to pay for that extra 100hp then i would say it isnt worth it if he was happy with his set up...

I would NEVER EVER recommend you adjust your rockers with the motor HOT. Thats a big no no...

Your binding could possibly be your chain? When the motor is not running, you are getting no oil...

Trans would be nice, a b16 f'd up isnt worth anything unless you really really wanted a b16, no torque a/m, not worth it to me...

Valves and a valve job is going to exceed 500 bucks.

Rods *balanced
Crank polished
Block bored and decked
New bearings
Arp studs

You will need piston and rod combo... type s modified oil pump... and someother odds and ends...

You can not just drop a head on and call it good...valve reliefs on the piston will hit the valves....
