I do every 5k, got a stock 00 Honda accord coupe v6.
5k is plenty, just change the filter when you change the oil.
Especially if it is just a daily driver and you are never really pushing the car....

Engine Oil is getting better, so you can go for awhile without a change and be totally fine (7k plus, it depends on the situation). I change mine every 5k, because a little TLC to a honda = lasts...

Brake fluid was middle/low in the resivoir, filled it up and it went away.

CEL came on and I got it checked out. It was p0401 aka EGR valve insufficient flow. They cleaned the EGR valve and did a test drive...
