looks like the TD84u distributor is for a OBD2 B16a2 engine. should work but you would need to make a jumper harness for the distributor.
obd1 distributor have two plugs (like our obd0) and obd2...

you need to match the distributor with the ecu. obd0 ecu with obd0 distributor. obd1 w/obd1.

You bought the wrong distributor thats why one of the leg is in the way of the solenoid.

If you wanted something more of a soft ride, a 350 front and 250 rear sounds good.

have you tried ebay?

also in my emergency state, i used a crx si distributor as well. ran great even when first start up. i cut off one leg to have my timing closer in range where it needed to be.

the HF and SI uses the same plug connectors. yes the si and hf distributors are interchangeable. Yes they have different part number. and yes they work either way.

the DX model will NOT work on...
