looks like the TD84u distributor is for a OBD2 B16a2 engine. should work but you would need to make a jumper harness for the distributor.
obd1 distributor have two plugs (like our obd0) and obd2...

you need to match the distributor with the ecu. obd0 ecu with obd0 distributor. obd1 w/obd1.

You bought the wrong distributor thats why one of the leg is in the way of the solenoid.

i have Koni with ground control set up on my crx.
400 lbs all around. Its a bit too stiff for a daily.

If you wanted something more of a soft ride, a 350 front and 250 rear sounds good.

what ecu are you using? i forgot to mention that when i had the crx distributor on, i used a crx si ecu as well. of course this was my emergency set up. but it ran top notch just the way i had it and...

have you tried ebay?

also in my emergency state, i used a crx si distributor as well. ran great even when first start up. i cut off one leg to have my timing closer in range where it needed to be.

contact the manufacture. i bought a pair that didnt came with them and the auto parts store could only return them as they didnt have any more in stock. Told the company my story and they shipped out...

the HF and SI uses the same plug connectors. yes the si and hf distributors are interchangeable. Yes they have different part number. and yes they work either way.

the DX model will NOT work on...
