Re: Progress Coil-over Special Promotion

Still loving these coilovers. Quick video I found of myself at a local autox event on June 5. I'm on progress 450s all around. Basic setup is ef chassis, stock b20z, LS trans open diff, DA brakes all...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Quick update on the car, followed by a quick update on my life:

Made a lip out of garden edging... it's Blue Hawk brand "composite edging" from Lowe's. Comes as a 20' length for 25 bucks. Pretty...

re: 90 EF - Crank No Start

None of those potential coolant issues would cause this. And I highly doubt your pistons decided to seize out of the blue... plus it's turning over. So the engine is rotating. From the sounds of it,...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Couple quick updates:

Installed the corbeau harness I've had lying around (it came with my seat, both used, from a friend). It's a massive 3" 5pt. harness, but it definitely keeps me tied down....

Re: Progress Coil-over Special Promotion

Finally got around to installing these the other night. It's the CS2 450/450 kit. Absolutely loving them so far.

My stock struts and 50 dollar eBay sleeves vs Progress kit.

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Thanks all. The kind words have been encouraging and much appreciated.

Had an interesting 24 hour experiment, which turned out extremely well. With most cosmetic aspects of this build, I've...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Thanks man. Live and learn, I guess.

Been a while, but things are generally moving forward with the project. I've been driving it for about a month now (30+30 miles for work daily) and haven't...

WTB: used EF/CRX koni sport/GC or similar coilover setup

As the title states, looking for a quality used coilover setup for my 90 civic hatchback. Ideally a koni yellow/GC setup, but open to progress, skunk2, and the like. Looking to spend between 450-600...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Hey all, I pulled the tranny tonight. Turns out my patch job held up just fine. Rear (tranny side) main seal seems to have been the culprit. Ordered a new seal kit, and should be good to go.

Re: dylspil's SiR EF8 CRX build thread

Wow, this is looking really great. I did some similar work to my interior and engine bay this winter (pulled up sound deadening, shaved little unneeded spots here and there), but not nearly to the...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Been incredibly busy over the past week, staying at the shop til crazy late only to be back (to actually work) at 8am the next day. So busy that I haven't had time to update this thread.

So here...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Oooooh, I never thought the res swap was possible. I'll look at it when I'm back at the shop Monday. But it turns out there is no clearance issue with the hood... I have a good 7-8mm, which is more...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Thanks guys.

Since it's cold out and I have no other major plans this weekend, I'm dedicating my time to getting as far on these brakes as possible. Made some progress after work tonight.

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Progress has been slow, but getting back on it.

Had a few discouraging setbacks. I sent my motor mounts to Innovative to have new bushings pressed in, and they got lost in the mail... Innovative...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

I will most likely do a mild b20vtec build next winter once I have everything else dialed in on the car. So for now, stock b20z.

Couple of updates while I wait on engine parts.

I cheaped out...

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

No, no... my new tranny IS a GSR YS1. Before I pulled the swap out, I was running my b20 with an LS tranny, which will be replaced with the ys1. I'm saying if you'd settle for b16 tranny, I know of...

Thanks guys. Hey Bentley Coop, I assume you meant progress coilovers? Progress Technology: Anti-roll bars, sport springs, coil-overs, camber kits and more since 1995!...

Sounds like it's not worth it to you, but prob worth it to somebody else. I'd advise you to sell it.

Re: Best headers for b16a CRX Si

Because a b16 is a relatively tight squeeze in an EF engine bay. Unless you have an aftermarket crossmember, you may need to pry up your engine to snake a one-piece 4-1 header in there. At least I...

Re: Best headers for b16a CRX Si

A two piece 4-2-1 header will be easiest to install. Based on your question, that's what I would recommend.

And your b16 has one header.

re: Back from the dead: another all-motor EF build - 90 civic DX

Thanks guys. Hey KP, I know it's not a ys1, but the guy I bought my tranny from also had two b16 cable trannies if you'd settle for that. I only mention it cus you're in Ontario... he's in the...
