Civic Beater Bomb Build

Civic Beater Bomb Build
So I recently got hooked on autocross after my first event in my 2013 wrx. After that event I knew it was not financially responsible for me to be beating on my car that was not yet paid off and my daily. I originally wanted a miata but any of the decent looking ones on Craigslist were out of my budget so I gave up looking for one. I ended up finding this gem and couldn't pass it up. Here she is the day I got her home.
215k miles and completely stock besides wheels and tires. I plan on running the motor until it blows up and then I will do a proper engine build. Fast forward a month and I have already ran 2 autocross practice days and done the following to the car:
New oem clutch and flywheel
Gutted the rear
Battery relocation
With the stock suspension and Firestone 400 treadwear tires this car is a pig. Body roll is off the charts and grip is non existent. The only good thing is the brakes are somewhat decent even with the drums in the rear. Knowing that the stock suspension is horrible, it will be the first thing I tackle. I already received my koni yellows and I am just waiting on my ground control sleeves with custom spring rates to come in. Pic of the Koni's.....purrrty.
So that pretty much sums up where I'm at with this build and I will update as I get parts on the car. I also plan to document my autocross events and see what works and what doesn't.

Update:
My ground control sleeves came in today. I also have some tires on the way, they should be here in another day or two. I have an event this Sunday so hopefully I can get the suspension on the car and dialed in.

Tires showed up today
Not much to brag about as far as rubber but they fit my budget. I plan on going with a wider rim and tire later so I didn't want to blow too much cash on something that's temporary. Who's got some suggestions for a seat? I'd like to stay under the $400 mark. I'm considering:
Sparco Sprint or F200
Corbeau
Ultrashield Rally Sport
I'm leaning towards the Ultrashield as it is very light and a little different from what everyone else is running.

Re: Civic Beater Bomb Build
Yesterday was my first auto x day with my new suspension....well half of it. Turns out the front Koni's I got from an Ebay seller were the wrong ones. I sent them back and should be getting the correct ones in another couple of days. I was pretty frustrated but I prepped my car as best as I could before the event. I kept the rear suspension raised up since I couldn't lower the front. I put the new tires on the fronts and I got it aligned because it was pulling hard to the left. Here is how it looked the night before race day.
I didn't have any real expectations since I only had the rear suspension and front tires installed. After my first run I was amazed that the rear would actually rotate when I was at the limit in corners. This was a nice change from plowing into every corner. I beat out some miatas and I was a tenth of a second behind my buddy's stock 2015 WRX. He was pretty upset my 90 hp civic was that close. I told him not to worry because I will be faster than him at the next event lol. Here is some footage from my gopro. Unfortunately, I didn't capture my best run.
My goal before next event (middle of March) is to have the front suspension installed, proper race alignment, rear tires, and a seat.

Re: Civic Beater Bomb Build
Finally got the front Koni's after receiving the wrong ones from an ebay vendor. I also picked up some BWR lower control arms. Here is how she is sitting now.
I may go a little lower but for now I'm happy. I don't want to be scraping on everything.
