Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

If you're wanting to save some coin, and your stock linkage is just sloppy and not damaged, you can order a linkage repair kit from Hasport. It comes with delrin bushings to replace the rubber ones...

Re: Crack in the block of B18B1

I'm all for accuracy, and you're right - I do believe the blocks are die cast. I've edited my post.

Re: B00STD wants a LOT of assistance in making a future EG Hatch Turbo build

I need a lift in my life. Hoping to buy a house in about 4 more years, and a detached shop is a must, and I'll get my lift then.

Re: Crack in the block of B18B1

If you look / feel of these closely, you will see that they are actually raised, and not cracks at all. It's an artifact from the casting process.

Re: GSR Coil on Plug distributors without break up issues (That fit block off plates)

I've had good luck with Duralast Gold brand. Can you find where the cover is hitting? If it's a small casting burr or something like that, you could probably grind it down (on the distributor...

Re: Replace valve guides for new valves? (turbo b16a)

If you have the guides replaced, I would not do them yourself. After installing, they really need to be reamed to size.

If you already have the guides, I'd probably just have them replaced. If...

Re: Is a wideband o2 a direct replacement for narrowband o2 on turbo d16?

What are you using for engine management? If your engine management has the ability, you can ditch the narrowband and let the wideband input control the fuel trim in the tune.

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

Man, even if it's ugly (and it ain't), you did it yourself, which is awesome. I'm not a great welder, but I love doing it myself. I've blown holes in stuff too. Just fill the hole back up, or...

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

I'm using the standard sensors as they are cheaper and are working fine for what I need them to do. If you have a noisy pressure signal, the oil filled sensors should give you a smoother reading. If...

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

I was using cheap pressure sensors from Amazon but had a few fail. Now im using sensors from Lowdoller Motorsports. They are affordable and so far seem well built.

Re: Awd swap handbrake disconnect

There is a post on here somewhere about a person that build a car with a CRV rear end and modified it to use an air locker system. Maybe you could make a switch that is activated when you pull the...

Re: Question about oil pump

There is a clearance spec on the OEM pumps. If you want you can open it up and check the clearance, but my guess is you'll be at the upper limit. Also, as JRCivic1 said, chances are it has had some...

Re: Need help with choosing bearings

I used ACL bearings on mine and just plasti-gauged to make sure I was in the range I wanted to be.

I agree with both gentlemen above. For peace of mind, pay the machine shop to measure and give...

Re: Custom turbo for a d16y7

The auto OBD2 ECU controls the transmission, and you cannot do any tuning with that ECU. You will need to swap to an OBD1 ECU or a stand-alone of some kind, and those won't control the auto...

Re: Head porting and polishing/ valve jobs & BOOST

Yeah....I'm gonna call BS on that one. I'll be happy to eat my words if it can be shown that porting alone yielded a 90 whp gain with nothing else changed on the car, no boost or timing added, same...

Re: S40 gears won't spin after taking housing apart

This is my guess. Make sure all of your shift sleeves are centered and not engaging with any synchros. Also - when taking apart the D-series, you have to remove the interlock bolt inside the...

Re: B series countershaft bearing part no.

Looks like #16 in the picture HERE (https://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/oem-parts/acura-bearing-needle-37x42x25-91107p21003), so 91107-P21-003, and there are two of them.

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

Yeah....I just pulled the trigger on a Haltech Elite 2500 on Black Friday. I'm sick of the Hondata issues and stock ECU limitations.

Re: Questions about Machining for a d16z6 (and general building)

Re: Questions about Machining for a d16z6 (and general building)

I'm assuming you're overboring to 75.5mm, correct? Stock bore is 75mm. It will increase your displacement slightly (0.02L), and you're reducing wall thickness by removing material, so yes, it will...

Re: DW400 Fuel Pump

turboLScrx does use / used to use a DW400 pump in his EG. I use a Walbro 450. Do not use the sock that comes with them - re-use your OEM sock or buy a new OEM-style. You will start sucking air...

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

I would say that I could have pushed harder. I have heard good things about Liberty in the past, and if you are interested in going this route, I would say a phone call (instead of an email like i...
