re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

I'm going to try that next, however, I don't think it'll help? If I run the ac on the freeway, even out of boost, it'll start to overheat after about a half an hour or so. Before the supercharger I...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

I'm having the same issue. I have a 03-04 cobra heat exchanger, + AC Condensor + Custom 3 Core Copper 1/2 Radiator. Forgot which fan I'm running and no shrouds.

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

So haven't posted in a while. Can't remember if I or my dad already posted this, but this is the best dyno run we had with the crx. This was without intake arm/filter and a 62mm TB. We installed a 3"...

Re: Replacing a tranny, is there an easy way?

I've gotten it out solo a few times. Usually I have my dad help me though. I find it easier just to lie underneath the car and pull the transmission off by hand rather than use a jack under it. It...

Re: Miss the Honda Scene, Currently in nissan scene

I hate the g35/350z scene with a passion but yours looks pretty sick. I'd def daily it.

Re: SJ Area Be Alert! Thieves are on a roll

I can't afford to rent an apartment or house in San Jose with an enclosed garage...it doesn't matter anyways because I don't live there any more but I do have a pager alarm for my "nice" car though.

Re: 89 Civic LX Journal

Hey, even our plans for our cars are the same and basically the same mileage I'm at 165,xxx. I think your car has less imperfections than mine. The camera hides them well. Looks good though.

Re: Mikes 89 Civic Lx

Thanks! Ironically, your car was the reason I decided to pull the trigger on this color sedan. I think I saw your build on efsedanforum though? Didn't realize you had a thread on here too.

Today...

Re: Mikes 89 Civic Lx

Cancelled my order with Progressauto. A month is wayyy too long to wait especially with their crap customer service. Purchased a set of F+F type 1's locally.

Here they are:...

Re: Progress Coil-over Special Promotion

Hey can you check into my order 1129? I didn't order it through the HT promotion, but any chance of getting it shipped out a bit faster? Feel free to pm me. Thanks.

Re: Mikes 89 Civic Lx

Yes definitely keeping the stock motor until it blows. It only has 165,000 miles on it now so it should last a while. 92hp FTW.

It's probably going to be one of the most boring builds on here....

Re: Mikes 89 Civic Lx

Oh I forgot, didn't like the look of the faded old bumpers and side moldings. Bought some bumper trim paint from OSH, enlisted the help of my mother and father and spent 6 hours in the 87 degree heat...

Mikes 89 Civic Lx

A little background. I've owned 3 cars in my entire life. My first car when I was 16 was a 1988 Red Honda Crx DX. I swapped in a b16a that my Dad and I built and made 161whp. Then I swapped in a...

Re: Ef sedan... Worth it?

The nice thing about our cars is that swapping out the pedals doesn't require drilling and tapping anything. Having said that I haven't done it myself but have taken out and put back in the pedal...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

We didn't retighten the belt like we should have. We are pretty sure the belt got a little loose which let it jump a rib and shred the side. We'll be diligent about retightening the belt. If it...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

We turned off the knock sensor and got a few dyno runs in this afternoon. We had to spend a lot of time screwing around swapping belts because we destroyed the blower belt. But finally, we were...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

Ectune. Yea, I realize that the knock sensor should not be used now. Apparently the forged pistons + blower create way too much noise and the ecu thinks it's knocking. I should be able to post up a...

Vtec was set at 3k rpm and it was in vtec according to the logs. I guess we'll need to find a new distributor and go from there...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

Veris thanks for chiming in.
Pulley combo = 3.8snout/mvm stepper/crv crank. Just double checked with my Dad. Appears to be around 11psi not 13. Regardless I'm thinking I'm missing serious horsepower...

Re: AWD EJ2 Build

Nice thread, my Dad and I think you're nuts (in a good way) =). But we did have a question, and it might just be that we're spoiled living in silicon valley, but why aren't you making your own PCB's...
