Re: cutting valve cover? (NOINTEGReddy)

I'm saying if a screw, dirt, a stick or whatever dropped in there and caused your timing belt to jump a tooth, you are going to wish you had them covered. If you don't believe me rev your motor to...

Re: performance for a 91 accord lx (90H22)

I think the best performance gain for a bolt on after the cold air intake is the adjustable cam gear. It makes a huge difference and was only about $130.

Re: paint help

They should use the correct type of paint/additive to make the paint flexible. Car enamel is otherwise very brittle.

Re: Underdrive pulley questions (Wont be beat)

What he is saying is with those underdrive crank pulleys, you lose your harmonic balancer. This will wear out your front main bearings pretty quick, usually within 40K miles. I think what he is...

Re: Simple cam gear question... (texan)

Advancing gives you more low to mid power, retarding gives you more upper. Advancing 2 degrees on most SOHCs I've found increases HP through the whole range but 3 degrees starts killing top end. ...

Re: smokin'

Oil burns blue. White smoke usually means running too rich. Could be O2 sensor, or bad spark. How old are the cap, rotor, spark plug wires, and plugs? Try resetting the ECU to relearn the fuel...
