Re: Common Problems with Fit?

Thanks guys. Think I'll go look at a few this weekend, plugs and coil packs hardly count as problems. :)

Looking for a college commuter, replacing an "almost made it to 300,000 miles" 96 Accord.

Common Problems with Fit?

What are common things to look for in a used Fit, auto trans in particular. Anything to watch for, high mileage issues? Appreciate your feedback.

Ditto to the six previous pages. I remember when he brought Steph's hatch to NHRA for a chassis cert. Lord, how long ago was that? We had a few suggestions, he told me we were too old to...

Re: (ExospeedAMcrx)

The folks at Bakersfield really "get it" in terms of customer service, etc. Great to be back at the drags with Bill and Tom, and watching everyone have fun again.

Re: (DragStarter)

I was only going to stick around for a couple hours after driving over from SEMA. But damn, got hooked again. Only took an hour in the tower and I was back at it again.

I'll echo Bill's statements...

Re: Helmet mandates.... (ComeOnKip)

Sorry, forgot about this.

The only NHRA rule change for helmets is that 9.99 and quicker must use a full-face helmet. But the SNELL ratings are the same as last year; i.e. M2000 and newer is...

Re: Helmet mandates.... (ComeOnKip)

I'll check my 2008 NHRA (not sport compact) rulebook tonight and let you know. I highly doubt any truth to the rumor. That would be an incredibly big change, but I never assume anything anymore!

Re: whered you put your battery relocation kill switch? (I3iggy)

If this is a street/strip car, there is another way to do it. A bit more work, but i's pretty clean.

Mount the switch behind the tail light. Then get another tail light assembly from somewhere. ...

Yeah, better to email NHRA directly. pcvengros@nhra.com

Pat Cvengros, he's the tech director for the series this year. BTW, the Dart block is legal for SFWD in NHRA.

Re: can you determine 1/4 mile by 1/8 mile time? (TeamNextGenChris)

NHRA has a conversion chart for 1/8 to 1/4 mile, but it's based on all motor, rear wheel drive cars. It's a little off when used for front wheel drive, because of the different 60 foots. But someone...
