Backup battery Required (Directed 520t), this is a must period. It will trigger the alarm if the battery is disconnected, keep those sirens blaring, and continue to notify your pager:

Glass sensor OR Proximity Required (not both, its not badass to have every sensor). Glass sensor listens for the frequency caused by metal-on-metal, broken glass, etc. Works very well and never false alarms when tuned correctly.
Proximity sensor is great when tuned correctly, which is a huge pain in the *** (the Directed unit sucks, only get the AU94t). Once tuned correctly the warn-away "bubble" will trigger outside of the car while the hard trigger will trigger inside the car. Expensive but worth the money:
