I'm thinking of buying some LED signal bulbs for my accord. The only question is will they operate like a normal turn signal bulb without flashing too quickly or too slowly since they are LED's?

It depends upon which ones you buy. Many include built-in resistors to eliminate this potential problem. Just be aware that the illumination from such bulbs is generally not as good as standard incandescent bulbs.

Here are my experiences with 1157 LED's in my front turn signals, from superbrightleds.com

Well, I used white LED's, when I should have used red or amber LED's. The red and amber lenses filter out light that is not amber or red, and apparently white LED's don't have much red light coming out of them, so they appear dim.

So I guess if I had used red LED's, so that almost no light would be filtered by the tail light lenses, it would have been brighter. How much brighter? Who knows.

It would also be good to show which bulb used, I used this style of bulb in red and had terrible results:



Now I have used different towers (from http://www.autolumination.com) and I got great results from these bulbs:

Each bulb will act differently depending on the housing, bulb design and the reflectors... MOST led's will get sun washed (over powered by direct sunlight), this is always an important thing to remember...

Yeah I used this type, but in white, so it didn't work as well because alot of light got filtered out by the colored lens. If the LED bulb matches the lens color, almost no light gets filtered out.

True, but it's also the leds used as well as the design of the leds in relation to the housing it's in (strait firing led's in a side mount housings are useless). I got a set of these led towers and they sucked, extremely dimm and hardly noticeable:
