Default H2B Obd2 question

I've been researching about this swap lately and am considering it since the benefits are fairly great. I understand normally that an H22 swap it would be hard to stay obd2 due to the immobalizer that is found on the engine which will need the correct ecu that came with the engine. I also know JDM ecus will not pass emissions (I have emissions in MO obd2). So is there still no way that my car will be street legal with this swap? Sorry I've built B series before and building or wanting to build H series motors is still fairly new to me.

Hey there,

I believe immobilizers are in the ecu. My h2b swap consist of an obd2 Jdm h22a with a chipped p28 ecu. Here in wisconsin there is no emissions so I hope my answer does help..

I'm sorry yes it's in the ecu. Unfortunately here in MO they check the ecu for Cels. Is there anyway around this or maybe using my stock ecu? I have a P2P ecu.

You can use the OBD2B H22 ECU (P5M) with your swap and pass emissions, you just need to have the immobilizer removed from the ECU: Honda / Acura ECU Immobilizer Removal Service|HA Motorsports

Thanks for the reply! I'm going to see how easy it is to get the P5M.
