Will A/C work without a fan?
I removed the OEM fans and replaced my rad with a dual-core half-sized one from a Civic to be able to fit my turbo components. The fan for the rad works just fine, but I can't find the connector for the A/C fan for the life of me. The compressor won't turn on, yet the fuse is intact. Nothing for the A/C works at all even though all the components except the fan are there and were working fine before the turbo stuff was installed.
Can anyone clearly show me where/what the connector for the A/C fan is in the engine bay?
Please and thanks.

Re: Will A/C work without a fan?
Last year my a/c fan motor died, just before it did it would go intermitently.
Each time the fan stopped the whole a/c system would stop. So i would
assume if the fan is not connected the a/c would not work either. I cant
check the location of the connector for you right now but if i get a chance
tomorrow i will, if no one else gets back to you beforehand.

The AC has its own harness bolted the body right behind the driver-side headlight, so you should be able to track down the fan plug coming from that area. It looks like 3-4 relays attached right next to each other.
The AC would try to work without a fan, but there will be nothing to cool the compressed gas if you are not moving, so it probably won't get very cold.

Th compressor should run without the condensor fan functioning.
But the ac system will not work very efficiently with out a condensor fan.
The high side pressures will be high at a stand still, and the ac won't blow very cold.

Hmm, the compressor wouldn't turn on at all when I tried it (without a fan connected). I'll look to see where the connector could be. Hopefully I can locate it and it's as easy as cutting the connector and splicing into the harness to connect the aftermarket slim fan (like for the radiator).
