SRS Problems - need some help please!
I'm trying to figure out why my light is on and I hit a bunch of brink walls:
the car is a 95 Prelude Si which has a passenger side Air bag. I picked up the car back in Dec and have done a motor swap and I'm onto the SRS system malfunctioning. Also, from what I can tell, the car has been in an accident with the front end being repainted.
When i try to ohm out the left or right dash sensors, I'm getting >3M ohms for the left and a complete open for the right.
I then tried to locate the suckers....I couldn;t find them. I pulled back carpet, I tore half the dask apart trying to follow wires, I can't find them.
From what I can tell from reading various forums is that they are round and should be on the inside of the firewall near the floor.
How big are they (1", 2",??)?
Where exactly are they located?
The other thing I beleive is that the SRS unit isn't the original but I can't tell for sure. Pulling the unit out and looking at the connector pin definitions linke VA, GND-A, GND-B, doesn;t look like they match the siring diagram.
Thanx in advacnce

I have gutted my car of almost all extra wiring, sound deadening, etc and I do not remember any SRS sensors like that. I remember the airbags, SRS computer, wiring, and the steering wheel cable reel, but that's it.
Do you have a Helms manual?

Ahhh, that explains it then....
I have a manual for a 93 prelude which talks about these units and a wiring digram which doesn't make sense now that I look at the wiring and the missing modules.
Do you happen to have a scan of the SRS wiring?

Found a set on-line. It was a you indicated, parts not there.

I'm having the same issue...SRS light on after jdm-h22a motor swap. Car has been in a few accidents before I purchased and fixed.
What's the deal with this MES connector? Where exactly is it, what does it do, and will it fix my SRS light being on?
Note; Previous owner had all the body work/interior work/airbags replaced at or through Honda...so it was all done legit. The SRS light was never on until I swapped motors/ecus.

I believe it is right next to the engine diagnostic connector right behind the radio. Should be a 2-pin yellow connector. Correct me if I'm wrong.........

Yup right next to the egine diag connector. It is yellow, 2 pin and one wire is black and the other brown/white ( I think) - anyway matches the wiring diagram.
I don;t know if mine was ever out before I picked up the car as the car didn;t run when I got it. I did do an engine swap and ecu like you, but that doesn;t really look related.
So anyway, take a couple of thin wires 10" long and put into connector. Turn shte key one and when the light goes on, within 4 sec's short and hold the wires together. Once the the light goes out, within 4 sec's open the wires together and when light comes back on, agin within 4 sec's short the wires and again when light goes out, open the wires back up.
At this pint, the SRS light will blick twice indicating all is OK.
Good luck
