Hey I have a 97 prelude and I can get my car to start. I just got this thing the other day so I have been slowly finding bugs. The car drove at first but then on the highway yesterday it just lost power. I put it to the floor nothing... got it to start up again and a mile later it lost power again. this time it didn't start. The cars at my house now and i am trying to diagnose. I put new plugs in just in case the faled out. I also put a new coil pack in it to see if that would change anything. still nothing the car cranks over and i can hear the fuel pump so i know it's getting fuel, but I don't know why it wolnt turn over. i pulled a plug and turned it over and the spark plug didn't spark either. I have got nothing on this so i could use all the suggestions you have got. Thanks

I would say your distributor gave up the ghost, see if you can locate an operational distributor for diagnostic purposes. If not look around local junkyards or Ebay for a cheap unit you could buy as a backup if it isn't the problem or resell. I'm going to say it is your most likely culprit considering you have power and no spark.

The honda ignitors are bad about going out and it's located in the dizzy. You may wanna check that also.
