depends on all what you want my friend. Have fast you want to go depends one how much you want to spend. Then then you have to think about tunning and maintance on it after words.
My uncle who builts motors( car, boat) famous quote " You don't drive your race car and you don't race your drive car, cause you never know when something is going to F-up on you"

i saw an SS lude with the jrsc dyno at 192whp. compared to 230whp for the 5 speed that's with similar mods
but then i saw an SS lude dyno at 236whp. but with considerably more mods. just some food for thought.

FI on automatics is a bad idea unless you want to spend the dough to beef up your tranny, I learned the hard way with my integra. Maybe swap the SS for a 5-speed?

Who told you it would harm your 5 speed tranny? At the most you might have reduced clutch life. Plenty of people are boosting on the stock H22 5 speed.

Re:
Boost away. Just don't drive the **** out of it. If you only use it here and there then don't worry too much as long as you boost right. However, if you drive with a lead foot then you are in for some major $$$ in repairs to the motor and tranny. Just my 2cents
