Re: Convert 5G To RWD? (GeneStarWindGSW)
need to fab you a brain.
RWD for a prelude will cost 5digit figures.
RWD motor, ur not gonna cheap out or leave honda family so thatll be the F20C or F22C which is 5g's off the bat. mounts, custom axles, the rearend, the transverse axle is it?(the one that turns the rear wheels) all the weld/fabrication will be custom. the motor will have to be sitting closer to the firewall because of weight distribution + center of gravity. all in all ur not gonna be able to do it unless if you're rich or very very dedicated to it for the next few years

Yes, there has been a 5thGen Converted to RWD with a Turbo'd H22 VTEC Engine. I have pictures if anyone wants to see..
It's been done to a 4thGen also.. I don't remember what engine was used... I believe I have a link to it though.. And a picture also..
And there is a LS1 swapped RWD Prelude here on H-T.

If you want to know what it consist of work, theory, design, engineering, wise, check out that link.
Oh, and it see he's selling it now also...
How disappointing..

Dont have much to add but Ive heard of someone taking a corvette and using the motor and axels on a prelude to make it RWD. Even though by doing that it lost all its Hondaness.
