Default Need help with engine matching.

I have an H22a motor that I pulled from a 91 accord. I was going to rebuild it in my spare time. What honda's would this be a direct drop-in for? I have time to look around and find one with a bad engine.

You could search very easy for this answer, but almost any honda could have the H22 dropped in..

Prelude
Accord
Civic
Integra
CRX
Del Sol
There's even a guy with a Custom Built Mid-Engine Mini with a H22A1.

Do some research on the swaps that have been done..

I take "direct" swap meaning being able to use the factory engine mounts. The Prelude is one, and I think the 94-97 Accords, everything else you need different mounts, and for civics and integras you will need different axles also. I'm pretty sure the 90-93 Accords use a Prelude engine mount. I'm not 100% sure though.

MLBZ521 is right, there are custom mounts and axles out there for you to put the H22 in just about any Honda you want.

Thank you for the answer. I was wanting to bolt it up to the existing transmition and with very little modification.

Existing tranny in what?? The car the engine will be swapped into?
H-Series & F- Series Trannys are swappable between the H & F Series Blocks. And the B-Series Trannys can be bolted on with a H2B Conversion Plate.. But that's a different story...

Same thing... No, not really, but the H-Series & F-Series blocks are very similar and parts/blocks are able to be swapped.
