1990 prelude b21
My friend owns a b21 prelude and the motor is pretty much shot. He's looking at swapping in the jdm h22. The only thing is he says that its really hard to do, that alot of the parts are hard to find, and that only one company in the world makes motor mounts for that swap. I don't know much about preludes, but I'm curious as to how hard this swap would actually be? all the pro's and con's of the situation.
Thanks Ryan

Re: 1990 prelude b21 (RYan McG.)
preludepower.com will give you all of the info you need..
Very difficult swap...
Motor mounts, axles, and shifting are problems to overcome... Luckily the 90 is obd1, so thats one of the easiest things to fix, but most time consuming... you can just skip that one... It probably one of the most deceiving swaps around because its by no means easy or common..
Motor mounts are rare currently and impossible to get ahold of... Possible manufacturer out of Latvia, but for the last 3 years no one has gotten a set because Place Racing went under(on people who made them)...
Axles are either custom or a combination of a stock few axles to get them the right length, fit the tranny, and the hub....
Need shift linkage, shifter base, shifter from a 4th gen to work normally..
Swap rests on hood commonly and hood needs to be modified...
Huge power jump, rare swap, VTEC, alot people want it, no one has it...
See sig below... Will explain some of it..
