The heater moter on my prelude keeps turning off by itself then comes back on at any random time. When its on it works really well than sometimes slowes down till it shuts off completly or it will just stop. I dont think its the moter and I checked the fuses I think its the relay switch or the resistor but im not sure where there located.

If the switch is in the off position does it still do it? Only with key on?

when its working all the switches work properly the fan on/off and all 4 speeds then it just stops working for a while then comes back on at random

nothing I do seems to make come back on any faster ive played with the switches, turned the car off and back on and even hit the dash is just starts back up when it feels like it

Check all connections in the circuit. Test for power at blower motor when it stops

yea so far it mainly happens when im driving or nowhere near a voltage tester ill keep one with me and try it but im still wondering about a relay or resistor i could also check the only relay I could find under the hood that was close said cooling fan but im pretty sure that for the rad

So I took the blower fan out and hooked it directly to the batter and it worked great and since its so cold and im tired of the random heat situation I wired it to a plug for my lighter jack as a tempory fix. I aslo hooked a voltage meter ot the stock plug to see if the power drops off which im pretty sure it will. This makes me think that its a resistor or relay but I double checked both fuse boxes and couldnt find anything other than the 40amp which is fine. Please if anyone knows the location of a resistor or relay help me out!!!!!

I think the blower motor relay is above drivers side footwell fuse box
