92 Prelude... Electrical Problems?
I hopped in my car the other morning before taking it to get inspected, and im testing everything before i get there. I go to hit the horn and nothing... so i do a little looking and i see the relay on top of the fuse box for the horn isnt working. im familiar with this area of the car as well cause the relay that runs from the ignition to the starter also stopped working... and i just made jumper wires for it. But sadly i cant do that for the horn cause if you try to jump it it beeps. i dont understand the problem i was talking to someone today and they said a grounding issue but i cant find a ground it would lead to. IM LOST SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

The ground to the relay is supplied by the horn button, find the blue/red lead at steering column harness and supply a ground directly to it, if horn works the problem is at the horn buttons or connections to them.
Also the horn relay socket should have two pins that have 12V+ power, if you jumped and the horn worked then at least one of the powers is working, check for the other. 94

Re: 92 Prelude... Electrical Problems?
This is very true! the blue and red wire goes from the back of the relay up to a yellow SRS plug and after tracking which gray wire it is it leads up to the SRS plug right under the steering wheel and it is exactly what fcm said it is the steering column is the poit of where it grounds. Sadly no one knew what the solution was so i had to do all the wire tracking myself lol then a week later i saw fcm posted on this thank you annyways fcm!

Just a side note, it would be a very good idea to replace bad relays, as opposed to using jumpers in there. Testing via jumpers is an ok idea, but long term there is the possibility of excess voltage draw, or much worse such as overheating components or starting a fire.
If they are tough to find new ones, junkyard cars a great source, and cheap!
