Default 92 SI no start problem...

92 Si won't start. Getting fuel, dist is fine, but no spark.(dist was swapped with one from running car). Ecu is working fine(also swapped from working car) Main relay was replaced. Seems as if Dist is not getting power. fuses have been checked but haven't really had time to mess with it. Any Ideas? I've checked through the books but havent seen anything that might help. Is there another relay or control box I am missing?

If you have no spark, try the following: Probe the Black/Yellow wire in the 2 pin connector on the dist. You should have +12 volts with the key in the on position. If there is no voltage present, the problem is either a blown #14 fuse in the dash fuse box, or there is an open circuit between the fusebox and the dist. Also check for continuity on the #1 terminal (yellow/green) wire on the dist to the #A21 and #A22 pins on the ECU (red/green).

Thanks for the ideas. I hope I can actually get some time to look at this thing this weekend. I will let you know what I come up with. Thanks again.

Okay, had a chance to mess with this thing and found that the previous owner had rewired the fuelpump for some reason, maybe a kill switch? anyway, I put it all back to factory and threw a set of plugs in it since they were shot and bingo! Not bad since I got the car for $500 because it wouldn't start. Thanks for the help.

If you have the peoblem again you may want to look into the main relay. I had a similar problem with my car where sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't. Good luck, i hope you fixed your problem and don't have to worry about it.
