please help, where is the damn horn relay? 92 EG CX
The horn used to work on my 92 CX, and now it doesn't. I was removing the steering wheel to fix a combination switch that shorted (headlight switch), and after reassembly the horns don't work. I didn't abuse the slip ring at all though.
I searched on many forums, got the FSM (factory service manual if that acronym is appropriate), and they all say drivers side dash is where the horn relay is. The best info I found was on a forum, which said "Drivers side under dash fuse panel, the blue relay in the upper left".
As you can see in the photos, there is a 4-pin receptacle in the upper left that looks like a relay could fit there. I checked the pins, and they are as follows (ignition off):
(+12V) (0.0 ohm to ground)
(open) (0.1 ohm to ground)
Obviously with only 1 open lead with the horn not depressed, this isn't the horn relay pins.
My thoughts are that my horn relay is bad, or the steering wheel slip ring. But I can't find the damn horn relay to test it! Here are some photos:
Passenger side shock tower fuse box (for reference). The 20A horn fuse is NOT BLOWN:

please tell me where the horn relay is!

Ron,
That is a way better FSM diagram than I found. Thank you.
Can you (or anyone else) see the relay or the pins the relay plugs into on my fuse panel? I can't. There is no other relays (only the hazard relay). Any ideas?
Another pic that shows that area better below...

The area circled in blue is where the horn relay should plug into, if you have SRS (airbags). I can't see that area of the fuse box in your picture. The area circled in red is where the power window relay plugs into.
If you don't have SRS/airbag system, then there is no horn relay.

If you ground the Blu/Red wire attached horn switch, do the horns sound? If so, refocus your effort by testing the slip ring, the horn switch, and its ground wire.

Bump. Having same problem. Replaced clock spring + horn. Did srs reset. NO SRS light after that. I looked under the dash and can't find an actual relay for the horn.
