Default Say a prayer for Virginia Tech today.

I'm sure most of you have heard about the shooting early this morning at Virginia Tech. We lost around 30 people, which makes it the largest mass killing in the history of the United States.

There are many H-T members who attend or have attended VT, and we have a large motorcycle club, filled with many engineers (biggest attack took place in an engineering building). I ask for your thoughts and prayers over the next few days as we find out the names of the students killed.

I know this is non-motorcycle related, but I needed to vent to someone.

Keep the rubber side down,

Hope no one on HT was involved in that horrible incident. Or, anyone related to someone on HT.

Keep the shiny side up.

I've gotten word that some of my friends know people who were shot... Nothing more. It appears that all my immediate friends are ok but I really don't know. I'm enraged by the media coverage though. Apparently we can get over 32 victims being shot really easily and go right into political debate over it....

Thank you all for all you prayers and concerns. This has proven to be a very difficult time for everyone in Blacksburg. It has been a bad year for Virginia Tech, with a shooting in early August, two bomb threats, and now this.

Thank you again and I will keep you all updated after tonights candle light service and tomorrows ceremony.

as most of us can relate, this tragedy is going to touch a lot of people. i know i was close to several people in my dorm freshman year, and im very close to several of my engineering classmates in school now. my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in todays tragedy, especially family and friends of those who lost their lives.

Some may question why there was a "Let's go Hokies" chant at the end of the convocation or how we've all dealt with this tragedy differently but that doesn't really matter. We need to rally as a community and be proud to be Virginia Tech.

Prof Librescu taught my Dynamics class and many many other students as well. I'm torn apart by his death and his heroics. I have lots of respect for his actions that likely spared his entire class.
